Microsoft Corporation Research Intern FATE at Microsoft Research in New York, New York

Microsoft Research New York City is actively seeking summer interns to join the FATE research group and work on topics related to fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics of AI.

Researchers affiliated with the FATE group at MSR NYC include Kate Crawford, Hal Daume III, Miro Dudik, Jenn Wortman Vaughan, and Hanna Wallach. The group collaborates extensively across other areas of focus of the lab—machine learning, computational social science, and economics and computation—and with MSR colleagues around the world.

Responsibilities

Students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the research lab.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in any relevant field.
