Ingram Content Group (ICG) has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our International Sales team in New York. This versatile individual will provide sales and administrative support to the IPS International Sales & Marketing team, commission representatives, and VP of International Sales. Working with team members and distribution partners from across the globe, and occasionally liaising with client publishers across all our distribution brands (Two Rivers; Ingram Academic; PGW; Consortium; IPS), this position is an excellent opportunity to learn about the business side of global book sales, marketing, and distribution.

4-year college degree or year for year experience
Publishing industry experience
Proficient with Excel, to include pivot tables, formulas, and V-lookups
Experience with MS Office 365 suite
Ability to speak and understand some Spanish
Responds to daily inquiries from customers and international commission reps; includes providing title and rights information, sales materials, and sales reports
Monitors, tracks, and responds to account orders, shipments, and inventory inquiries and assists sales team in resolving customer issues
Liaises with credit control to facilitate orders and flow of information
Assists in opening new accounts with Credit and Customer Service; follows up with Sales Representatives on terms assignment
Runs daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales reports as needed
Runs and manages reports for Weekly Focus Title Meeting
Manages distribution of sales materials and samples to reps, UK office, and key accounts
Prepares and ships sales kits/samples for international sales trips and book fairs
Maintains international customer database, customer mailing lists, and execute mailings
Coordinates Canadian/Australian key account coop with credit and sales stakeholders
Coordinates drop shipments
Coordinates active publisher and title lists for reps, distribution partners on a monthly basis
Coordinates team schedules and calendars for book fairs and sales trips
Trains new team members and commission reps with new systems and procedures
Prepares and organizes sales material for sales presentations, including developing Edelweiss collections, editing, and uploading materials
Schedules and executes title presentations to Reps, Business Partners and Accounts on a seasonal and monthly basis
Updates Rep Tool Google drive for Commission Reps regularly
Assists sales managers with sales, operations, and shipping queries
Assists sales managers with Amazon mapping and integration projects
Assists VP of International Sales and provides general departmental administrative support as neededQualificationsAdditional Information
