Job Description

WNET is undertaking an organization-wide digital transformation around how we engage with the audiences of the future. A central component of this transformation is taking place within the fundraising operation at WNET with the implementation of Salesforce CRM, already completed. This transition is crucial to modernizing WNET's fundraising capabilities to be able to respond to the changing media environment.

The Salesforce Administrator is a key role in Development Operations and supports WNET's Salesforce CRM ongoing functionality, serving as a system administrator for the Salesforce CRM and other Salesforce platforms such as Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud. The Salesforce Administrator manages work with the Senior Salesforce Administrator and the Director of Development Operations. The Administrator is responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the CRM.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a system administrator for the Salesforce CRM NPSP (Non-Profit Service Pack) and other Salesforce related products such as Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and CRM Analytics;
  • Manage all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, workflows, and other routine tasks;
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests; create custom objects and workflows when required;
  • Manage data imports and other integrations; monitor data quality and integrity;
  • Work with leaders/managers to establish processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities;
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades when required;
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce ecosystem skill set across the organization;
  • Create Salesforce report and dashboard types;
  • Maintain a current understanding of seasonal Salesforce releases, communicating about enhancements and suggesting ways for the organization to leverage them;
  • Implement Salesforce upgrade releases when applicable;
  • Work with our Salesforce Managed Services vendor and staff to resolve complex CRM related fixes and enhancements;
  • Evaluate and integrate with Salesforce CRM third-party applications;
  • Collaborate and work across multiple teams to define functional requirements and implement end-to-end Salesforce solutions;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have strong customer service orientation; the ability to communicate clearly and concisely as well as to convey ideas in both technical and user-friendly language; excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills; the ability to prioritize, be results oriented, self-motivated, and proactively problem solve; and demonstrated project management skills. Additional qualifications include:
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Salesforce administrator;
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM NPSP and ability to understand custom apps and objects, formula fields, use declarative tools workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity;
  • Experience with APEX classes, Flows, API integrations is a plus;
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality;
  • Knowledge of non-profit processes preferred;
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.

Candidates with Salesforce.com Admin. certifications, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Developer certifications are preferred.

The WNET Group offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $83,000 - $90,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
