Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst Intern is responsible first and foremost to support the PMO team. Tasks that fall under the purview of the PMO team include: tracking the status of program deliverables and milestones; supporting project circuition and realization, coordinating regular program reviews and governance; coordinating the documentation of post project reviews and program level workshops; coordinating tracking and reporting processes to align with the PMO and Scholastic business strategies. The PMO Analyst may also be asked to assist the PMO team with defining and updating project management processes, standards and governance, and coordinating activities in support of strategic goals.
Additionally, the PMO Analyst Intern will ensure the proper functioning of Smartsheet and Atlassian applications to include access and provisioning, responding to requests received from ServiceNow, and facilitating communication with vendors to troubleshoot, upgrade, and adjust configuration of the applications. PMO Analyst must also be proficient and familiar with collaborative platforms such as Google Workspaces and Microsoft teams. He or she will also require the ability to provide demonstrations and guidance to set up, maintain, and build solutions within Scholastic program and project management tools as needed and remain up to date on new upgrades and releases for these applications.
The PMO Analyst Intern is also responsible for supporting areas peripheral, but essential to the programs such as change management, operational processes, engineering best practices, and the maturity of agile delivery within the program teams. These areas are pertinent to the success of the overall program. The PMO Analyst will work closely with Project Managers to gather feedback to improve processes and help to apply the system development life cycle of choice, in most cases, Agile Scrum, in a logical and reasonable manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Project Managers and provide support and critical thinking to resolve issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle
Tracking the status of program deliverables and milestones
Coordinating the documentation of post project reviews and program level workshops
Coordinating tracking and reporting processes to align with the PMO and Scholastic business strategies
Assist the PMO team with defining and updating project management processes, standards and governance, and coordinating activities in support of strategic goals
Help ensure the proper functioning of Smartsheet and Atlassian applications, respond to requests received from Scholastic trouble ticket system (ServiceNow), and facilitate communication with vendors to troubleshoot, upgrade, and adjust configuration of the applications
Support peripheral areas of PMO programs such as change management, operational processes, engineering best practices, and the maturity of agile delivery within the program teams

Qualifications
HOW YOU CAN FIT :
Graduating between December 2023 and August 2024 with an undergraduate or graduate degree
Strong penchant to deliver, self-learner, and someone that likes to come up with solutions
Technical development and quality engineering skills a plus
Detail oriented, highly organized, punctual, and a strong mentor
Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills
Strong presentation skills and ability to understand how to message to a large audiences and executive level sponsors
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint) and system documentation tools
Enthusiastic team-player as well as a self-starter
