Senior Analyst, Business and Operations Strategy, Clinique

Senior Analyst, Business Operations Strategy will be key in aiding Global Creative, Retail Marketing, and Global Communications by helping integrate our 360 campaigns, and in turn, better integrating the business needs of the marketing calendar with the financial strategy to deliver results.

This role will utilize the power of data, insights and operational processes of Creative to best leverage our resources in conjunction with the brand vision of the programs. The business integration of these three departments will create the opportunity to eliminate waste by aligning upfront on resource allocations, having transparent conversations about the most efficient use of Production dollars and by helping optimize overall creative cohesiveness.

The role will also support Clinique Financial Planning & Analysis on projects to drive business growth and profitability, including analyzing a global view of spending in the Creative, Marketing and Communication areas.

  • (10%) Partner with and support Global Creative, Retail Marketing, and Global Communications on day to day 360 business ops.

  • (15%) Incorporate the business point of view on the appropriate investment suggestion to functional partners based on current full year budget, and Demand plan to secure proper investment in day to day programs and projects. Track spending toward the full year budget.

  • (10%) Review the departments’ spending to determine alignment to the brand strategy.

  • (5%) Drive PO first compliance cross-functionally to maintain visibility into current spend and YTG risks, as well as integrating the appropriate coding to track total spend on campaigns cross-functionally.

  • (10%) Coordinate and connect business functions to ensure we are accounting for and able to fulfill all asks from the market within budget and go-to-market dates.

  • (5%) Develop management reporting package to ensure senior leadership can clearly see full 3rd party investment in programs/projects by season over multiple fiscal years.

  • (10%) Create and analyze financial reports, as necessary, on wide-ranging financial topics to support the FP&A team.

  • (25%) Support ad-hoc projects in conjunction with FP&A to build data-driven insights to support business growth and profitability.


  • Bachelor Degree in Business and/or Finance preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a creative analyst and/or corporate financial experience.

  • Superior organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others within and across functions/teams

  • Capable of effectively managing and facilitating meetings within a multicultural environment

  • Ability to hold oneself and others accountable for commitments in a productive, assertive and positive manner

  • Mature and effective conflict resolution skills and cross-functional coaching skills

  • Presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and pitching skills

  • Experience working with clients to develop and negotiate contracts, project scopes and budgets

  • Has experience in working closely with finance, creative and marketing services
