As the Senior Broadcast Producer, you will work closely with the executive producer, senior executives and talent to develop and shape the overall strategic vision of the CBS This Morning. Utilizing your strong editorial/ news judgment and in-depth managerial experience, you will help to manage all aspects of production and bring a fresh perspective to both the broadcast and the digital brand.

As our ideal candidate you will have managed a news team, on-air correspondents, have strong editorial/news judgement, and have a demonstrated ability to transform traditional news stories into great digital content. You are a super organized, creative thinker who has worked in both traditional media and startup environments.


  • Collaborate with EP, Talent, Senior Producers and Correspondents to ensure a consistent editorial vision

  • Manage all aspects of production including editorial, booking, live and remote broadcasting, digital and graphics

  • Propose new program concepts across all platforms driving compelling and engaging storytelling which furthers the CBS This Morning brand

  • Manage production teams, including budgets, and staff development; foster a creative and collaborative environment


  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Television News Producer at a major broadcast network, cable or digital news company

  • Demonstrated ability to make editorial decisions under time pressure and oversee all aspects of production

  • Ability to recognize stories with a high potential of producing compelling television; deep knowledge of politics and current events

  • Exceptional understanding of broadcast and video production; experience with interactive/podcasts/digital projects is preferred.

  • Exceptional writing, organizational, time-management, and planning skills

  • Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require, and to travel when necessary

  • In-depth understanding of social media and digital content strategy.
