As a Senior Consultant you will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation, and development of workstream results. You will contribute to or lead project workstreams. This includes participating in regular internal team meetings and coordinating/facilitating meetings with clients and their stakeholders. You will be expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. You will lead, coach, and mentor others on the team to ensure quality analysis and deliverables.
Members of our team work with clients involved in a wide range of energy-related activities including distributed energy resource (DER) strategies (energy efficiency, demand management, renewable energy). We also support clients in grid modernization and to define decarbonization pathways. You will perform a wide range of activities, which may include program evaluation, program, project and policy planning, customer program strategies, and market and technology assessments. This includes involvement and interaction with utility companies, program implementers, government agencies, industry representatives, solution providers, trade organizations, end-use customers, and industry advocates.

We are looking for someone with a passion for creative problem solving, client service, and project management. Key responsibilities for this position include:
Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities (particularly energy efficiency, grid modernization, renewable energy, customer programs, new business models, and sustainability)
Performing technology assessments; statistical and economic analyses; data collection and spreadsheet creation and management
Prepare workshop and meeting materials, attend sessions, and summarize outcomes
Preparing reports, presentations and other documents for client deliverables
Interviewing business managers, technology experts, and public policy officials
Presenting results of assigned tasks and analyses to clients
Working effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team; work independently as needed.
Bachelors or Masters degree in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science and/or related discipline AND the following experience:
Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of relevant industry or consulting experience excluding internships/co-ops
Masters degree and 3-5 years of relevant industry or consulting experience excluding internships/co-ops
Demonstrated team player with ability to learn
Client service orientation
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with data analytics
Strong interest in business strategy, energy efficiency, and sustainability
An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement
Superior interpersonal skills
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines.
Highly developed organizational and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel as needed

Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience creating models within Excel and/or experience with R or other programming languages (e.g. Python)
Tireless attention to detail in all prior experience (academic and professional)

Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data
A history of successful, creative problem-solving
