With our new and growing vertical marketing team, we are seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to develop and scale best-in-class, insight-led stories. This person is equal parts creative (developing compelling stories that ladder up to Consumer Electronics and Home Products) and strategic (scaling stories through digital channels). This person will tell compelling stories directly to advertisers to help them make smarter decisions, ultimately leading them back to our solutions. This person will partner closely with Consumer Electronics and Home Products sales enablement experts on the vertical marketing team to understand their sales content/insight roadmaps. This person will pull out insights/nuggets from existing materials or commission new insights that make for compelling, editorial stories aligned to those roadmaps. This person will then work with channel experts to tell their stories across digital channels (such as our website, blogs, virtual events/webinars, emails, YouTube, and social) and various formats (e.g., blog posts, keynotes, whitepapers, etc.), and will run tests to unlock new digital channels. The right candidate is a creative B2B storyteller first with some familiarity with the Consumer Electronics and/or Home Products industries, digital advertising, and using insights as a key differentiator in stories. The right candidate is customer obsessed and metrics-driven, using audience insights and learnings from each piece of content to make the next more impactful. This person juggles multiple priorities, while keeping everything to a relentlessly high quality bar. Since this is a new function, this role also offers the opportunity for the right candidate to be entrepreneurial, charting their own vision for how this role can best help customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
\* Grow the presence of Amazon Advertising in the Consumer Electronics and Home Products industries across existing and new digital channels
\* Develop a strategic content and channel roadmap that delivers against the above industry themes/business needs and aligns to key content/product releases/industry seasonality
\* Create bingeable content across digital channels including blogs, industry landing pages, virtual events/webinars, emails, YouTube, social media, and more
\* Tell stories that challenge, inspire, engage, and drive action
\* Partner with channel experts to test new approaches; constantly optimize content to drive better results
\* Work cross-functionally with industry-specific sales enablement experts, channel marketing, product marketing, insights, PR, and legal to deliver against content priorities
\* Hold a consistently high bar for both customer-facing and internal materials
\* 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
\* Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
\* Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
\* Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
\* Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
\* Strong storyteller who creates compelling, customer-obsessed materials
\* Proven content development and strategy experience across multiple formats (e.g. written, video) and digital channels (e.g. blogs, webinars, social, landing pages)
\* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\* Previous industry marketing content experience
B2B digital content marketing experience
\* Entrepreneurial spirit/ability to try different things in an ambiguous environment with minimal direction
\* Exhibits high judgement in order to balance benefit/risk when releasing new insights
\* Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically; thinking big while having meticulous attention to detail
