Department purpose and structure
The HR team at Allen & Overy provides a first class service to the business, offering strategic HR business advice at the business partner level and quality support services in the full range of HR functions.

Role purpose
The Law Student Recruitment Specialist (or Senior Coordinator) is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of year-round, student-focused efforts - including on-campus interview and call back processes, our multi-office US summer program, law school and student outreach & events, and entry-level attorney recruiting. This role will coordinate law student recruitment efforts for A&O's US offices.

Role and responsibilities
Law Student Recruitment
\* Provide input into the development & execution of tailored recruitment strategies for five distinct and expanding US offices
\* Assist with targeted law school & student outreach efforts
\* Manage on-campus and callback interviewing teams
\* Aid in preparation, reporting and analysis of applicant, offeree and acceptance data
\* Manage (as needed) entry-level recruitment of 3L, judicial clerks and LLM students
\* Collaborate with greater US HR team on the tracking, intake / onboarding of 3L, LLMs and judicial clerks
\* Serve as firm liaison to candidates: during applicant pre-identification/DEI efforts, at receptions & events, for non-OCI interviewing as well as to facilitate attorneys' follow-up with pre-recruits & offerees
\* Liaise with a variety of student & affinity groups, key Career Services teams and diversity pipeline organizations
\* Assist with such special efforts as: interviewer trainings, 1L hiring, SEO & LCLD partnerships, laterals' involvement in hiring, collaborations with A&O clients and the development of diversity fellowship programs

Summer Associate Program
\* Spearhead creative offerings for a (25+ student) multi-office, in-person & virtual "hybrid" summer program
\* Collaborate in summer program execution, including: content, communications, mentoring and delivery of assignments, guidance & offers
\* Help organize in-person Summer Orientation and on-boarding
\* Facilitate summer associate feedback compilation, help conduct mid-summer / end-summer reviews and track entry-level practice group rotation preferences
\* Liaise with offices overseas, also hosting US JD-track summer associate programs
\* Serve as year-round resource to law students

General
\* Create and maintain (internally & externally) messaging consistent with Firm's US growth strategies
\* Interweave DEI efforts into all aspects of recruitment, campus relations and summer curriculum/programs
\* Remain alert to (and report on) market trends, peer firm intelligence, legal education landscape and advancements in the law firm/professional services hiring
\* Other DEI-focused recruitment and HR-adjacent projects, as needed

Team
This individual will report directly to the NY-based Senior Manager of US Law Student Recruitment and will work closely with an LSR-focused Recruiting Coordinator, as well as other members of the US HR team.

Key requirements
\* Bachelor's degree, ideally with an interest in the legal field
\* 2-4+ years, experience of managing recruitment processes in a high-quality, high-touch, fast-paced environment, ideally at a comparably sized firm. Knowledge of US legal markets and lateral or law student recruitment industries, desirable.
\* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
\* Proven organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
\* Must be willing to work extended hours and travel, including some weekends, particularly during the busy recruitment season (May-August)
\* Ability to respect and maintain highly confidential information

The annualized base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position and other job-related factors permitted by law.
