JPMorgan Chase Senior Design Program Manager in New York, New York

We are looking for an Senior Design Program Manager (DPM) to join our growing Design Ops practice and award-winning digital experience design team.

As part of a team driving transformational change in the products and tools that allow JP Morgan's Corporate and Investment Bank to deliver exceptional experiences to both clients and internal teams, the Associate DPM will play an important role in implementing structure and organization to optimize the design team's delivery, and measure the value and impact of work delivered.

About you

  • You have prior experience in a Design Program Management or Project Management role working with product design teams, managing scopes, timelines and budgets

  • You have a passion for design, people and operational efficiency. You have a successful track record implementing and maintaining processes to improve collaboration, productivity and delivery hand-off

  • You demonstrate an understanding of the end-to-end product design process and agile delivery. You have experience working on projects requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders including product management and engineering teams

  • You are a design advocate and a design enabler; you look for opportunities to reduce friction in the designer's day, giving them more time to dedicate to their design practice

About the role

  • You will manage one or more design portfolios (dependent on team size / number of workstreams) collaborating closely with DPM/design lead(s) to maintain a view of all project scopes and weekly status including team allocations and resourcing needs

  • You will facilitate communications across the design team and project stakeholders and play a key role in planning and organizing team meetings, workshares and design workshops

  • You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key design and research metrics

  • You will manage new project intake - working with DPM/design lead to assess scope, strategic priority and resourcing needs, and also participate in annual budget and capacity planning with program sponsors and finance / business management teams

  • You will maintain a pulse on team health and foster a positive team environment that promotes diversity and inclusion

Our growing 200+ Digital Experience Design team (DXD) includes UX and visual designers, service designers, researchers and creative technologists spread across 6 global locations.
