Role Details:

"ViacomCBS is looking for a seasoned professional to help craft the next generation of content technology. As a senior director in the Global Media Operations group, you will help build systems that will transform the content supply chain for an international media company. We build cloud-native asset and metadata management systems that will form the cornerstone of content delivery capabilities for ViacomCBS. Shows like Star Trek: Discovery, NCIS, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, American Soul, and countless others are handled and delivered through the systems we build!

Your Day-to-Day:

Lead multiple related software engineering teams located around the globe

Coordinate the hiring, mentoring, and training of great engineers

Coordinate software development activity between several different functional areas (frontend, backend, QA, etc.)

Ensure high quality for software engineering while meeting project timelines - Develop individual contributors into technical leads and future engineering leaders

Work with product management to define scope and translate product requirements into engineering work

Establish plans and strategies to achieve ViacomCBS tech objectives related to cloud transformation

Responsible for team performance, making improvements where necessary

Develop staffing plans for meet ViacomCBS Tech objectives

Collaborate with other departments and technical teams to develop and enhance creative and efficient approaches to software development

What you bring to the team:

You have

  • 8+ years software Engineering Experience

  • 5+ years of Experience solving problems related to content and Metadata

  • 5+ years of Experience leading software Engineering teams

  • Expert on modern software development practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment

  • Extensive Understanding cloud application architecture and services, with a special focus on AWS -

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate conversations with business partners, users, and Engineering teams.
