UnitedHealth Group Senior Director Marketing Operations in New York, New York

We are looking for an experienced, innovative Marketing Operations leader with an analytical, strategic, and operational mindset to lead a 25 person team responsible for product marketing campaign operations at Optum. This role will drive the execution of omni-channel campaigns across digital and non-digital channels, help create the roadmap for a best-in class martech strategy, and deliver cutting edge tools to drive marketing automation. You will own the Marketing capabilities and execution from beginning to end of the campaign going out the door and beyond. This team will work directly with a variety of constituents including Marketing Strategy, Product, Analytics, Technology, Operations among others to prioritize, align and deliver marketing campaign activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of 25 Marketing Operationsprofessionals

  • Ensure all campaigns are delivered flawlesslyaccording to appropriate specifications, timing and strategy across allchannels

  • Partner with Marketing strategy team tounderstand campaign requirements and design best in class Marketing operationsstrategy to execute the campaigns

  • Identify and champion cutting edge digitaltools and new channels to further drive communications of campaigns (social,paid media, personalization, etc.)

  • Lead the data strategy, development andinfrastructure to define a best in class Martech capability and roadmap todeliver cutting edge capabilities; maintain a world-class, modern stack tounlock growth opportunities; ensure appropriate integration with line ofbusiness platforms and tools; encourage and measure adoption of keytechnologies and processes

  • Provide strategic leadership by partneringwith Analytics team to help inform our measurement of the performance ofcampaigns and recommend strategies and outcomes

  • Drive flexibility, efficiencies andcreativity in marketing processes to enable more effective execution

  • Monitoring and optimizing major contractswith marketing vendors and managing associated spend

  • Responsible for developing business cases toadvance the development of core marketing technology capabilities (with a focuson marketing, campaign operations and personalization platforms) and assistingwith the technical integration of marketing tools and technologies

  • Coordinate and manage the budget andcoordinate budget strategy for all the Marketing Ops capabilities

  • Build a high performing team and help developa best in class COE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 7+years of prior experience in managing Marketing operations teamto ensure flawless execution and implementation of marketing, campaign, andpersonalization platforms.

  • 5+ years of experience directlysupervising and managing a Marketing Operations team

  • 5+ years of direct experienceimplementing, maintaining and optimizing marketing technology, personalization,and campaign management platforms.

  • 5+years of direct experience with Marketing Ops A/B testing, audiencesegmentation, analytics, and targeting

  • Abilityto architect solutions and internal pipelines to streamline and simplifycomplex workflows.

  • Understandingof other integrated marketing channels including: email marketing, social mediamarketing, content marketing, SEO, and SEM/paid advertising.

  • Expertisewith industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures like responsive webpage design, tag management, web portals, web forms, A/B testing, etc.

  • Backgroundwith Agile, Scrum, and other software development methodologies.

  • Proven success in implementingplans effectively in a matrix organization

  • Experience resourcing andmanaging a multitude of vendors.
