The ANA has an extraordinary opportunity for an individual seasoned in marketing or account management to make a difference every day. As a membership-driven trade organization, we are obsessed with delighting our members. The ANA is seeking a Senior Director, Membership responsible for living and breathing member obsession while driving satisfaction and renewal for memberships. This individual will also be responsible for researching, cultivating, and initiating new prospect opportunities. To be successful in this role, the Senior Director will forge indelible relationships with key stakeholders at ANA member companies and prospect organizations to meet annual membership and member revenue growth goals.
Build and maintain exceptional relationships with corporate members and prospective members.
Live and breathe member obsession while driving member engagement and satisfaction
Ensure members are aware of their benefits and assist with activation of benefits on a regular basis
Ensure member inquiries and problems are responded to promptly
Work collaboratively with key member stakeholders at member companies to produce and implement a customized Member Action/Engagement plan
Organize and deliver New Member Orientations and briefings
Work directly on annual membership dues billing / accounts receivable follow-up
Prepare all communication letters to members and membership packets
Generate prospect inventory to support the ANA?s annual membership growth plan. Individual should be familiar with sales, development of a sales pipeline, and engaging with prospective members in this new virtual world.
Recruit new members through strategic sourcing, inclusive but not limited to the following avenues cold calling, mail, email, attendance (in-person and virtual) at events, referrals and leads, social networking
Ensure maintenance of membership records and files in the organization-wide integrated database in accordance with ANA standards.
Manage member and prospect records related to dues, action plans and all relevant interactions.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem
Demonstrate exceptional understanding of business fundamentals
Travel may be required
Professional Experience and Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Possess a persistent desire to go above and beyond
Highly organized, detailed, accurate with very effective time management skills
Client-side marketing or relevant agency experience desired
