PVH Corp. Senior Director, Merchandising - Calvin Klein North America Men's Apparel in New York, New York


The Sr Director of Merchandising is the leader of product merchandising for Calvin Klein North America Men’s Apparel product categories. They are responsible for the development of North America Men’s Apparel merchandising dashboards as well as the consolidation of information to support and build strategies for the brand. They are also responsible for establishing specific merchandising objectives, targets, and goals, and ensuring that product lines are brought to market in a timely and profitable manner and in accordance with the line plans and production calendars.


  • Partner with VP Merchandising & Merchandise Planning and Global Chief Merchant on the product vision and merchandising guidelines for the Calvin Klein North America Men’s Apparel line.

  • Brings customer and market prospective to the design. Thoroughly understands the brand's target customer by tracking attitude and lifestyle trends.

  • Partner with VP Merchandising and Global Chief Merchant on all product & strategic initiatives, both long and short term.

  • Drive the seasonal strategy and communicate to the regions.

  • Familiarize with competitive market place and analyze top selling styles of key competitors; understand upcoming product trends. Communicate competitors’ trend information as needed to Design and Sales teams.

  • Lead quarterly merchandising report-outs to cross-functional team (trend, competitive market, and metrics)

  • Build and communicate Merchandising metrics to monitor for continued seasonal improvement.

  • Collaborate with regional and global partners to gain insight on seasonal collection structure. Align big ideas and establish new key item opportunities.

  • Partner with Sales to understand product needs, analyze history of best sellers and communicate strategies to North America Merchandising team.

  • Synergize channel sku needs for one consolidated brand sku architecture for North America Retail and Wholesale.

  • Ensure seasonal assortment and buy is meeting its goals and objectives

  • Play an integral role in establishing a best in class sku plan process that for the development of seasonal assortments.

  • Partner with all North America regional and global leads to understand each regional style/sku needs.


Experience: At least 10 years of Merchandising experience, major brands a plus; 5+ years of experience managing a team of 2 or more.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related Field


  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

  • Possesses high fashion aesthetics

  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills

  • High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of fabrics as well as garment construction

  • Working knowledge of garment costs and gross margin formulas
