The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our Global Early Careers recruiting strategy for AIG in addition to leading hiring for our North America Operations function. At a time of transformation for the company, this is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop our early careers hiring strategy, lead a team of campus and lateral recruiters, and execute on pivotal hiring initiatives to source and retain exceptional talent to support our business goals.

The successful incumbent will co-design and execute the global recruiting strategy for all Early Career programs. This includes our flagship programs, such as our internship and analyst programs, as well to form new programs that will further diversify the organization's talent pipeline. Examples of new programs will include Apprenticeships, Career Returners, High School programs, and entry-points from community colleges. Accountabilities include high-volume recruiting to support and grow our global commercial business operations.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000-$174,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Early Career Hiring Strategies

  • Lead and grow our global early careers hiring strategy to source and retain our future leaders. This includes our flagship programs, such as our internship and analyst programs, as well to form new programs that will further diversify the organization's talent (including apprenticeships, high school programs and entry-points from community colleges)

  • Oversee the design of Global Campus recruiting programs, inclusive of internships and work on an overhaul strategy of current practices and strategies

  • Collaborate with global leaders and HR partners to attract and hire the world's best next generation talent and help drive and support transformation at AIG.

  • Manage the day-to-day design and implementation of recruitment processes and deliverables for Early Career hiring, responding proactively to the ever-changing business needs and acting with agility and speed.

  • Build a campus attraction and engagement strategy leveraging technology and social media channels.

  • Oversee relationships with select college and university career centers, HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and faculty to create recruitment plans and marketing strategies. Analyze progress and results at core schools, identify best practices and develop strategic recommendations for future recruiting. Oversee relationships with other partner companies, such as NY Jobs CEO Council, InternX, Jobs for America's Graduates, and others, to ensure that AIG's relationships remain strong to source the top candidates for our varying program offerings

  • Transform strategic on-campus relationships with university Career Services and faculty to influence future curriculums aligned with the company's future state skill requirements.

High Volume/Operations Hiring Strategies

  • Accountability for leading talent acquisition across North America Operations to ensure current and future hiring needs are met in a timely, effective and cost efficient manner

  • Lead a team of Recruiters and provide coaching and mentoring to the team

  • Collaborate closely with senior executives and Senior HR Business Partners to design strategies that target, engage, and successfully recruit top talent for senior roles

  • Engage and closely manage candidates throughout the entire interview process – ensuring they have a best-in-class candidate experience.

  • Lead the strategy and execution of talent mapping and pipelining, partnering with Senior HR Business Partners, external vendors, and internal sourcing team to develop quality and diversity of hires. Participate in succession planning by understanding the internal talent market and supplementing that with external candidate slates.

  • Drive the offer process by partnering with relevant functions (Comp, Legal, Tax, Global Mobility) to ensure offers are competitive and the resulting offer letters include appropriate language.

  • Responsibility for ensuring talent acquisition data is accurate to analyse performance, set goals, drive improvements, and develop strategies

  • Maintain Workday applicant tracking database integrity through regular and thorough reviews – ensuring we have accurate data to share with our HR partners and hiring managers.

Other Areas of Focus

  • Execute on pivotal hiring initiatives to source non-traditional talent to fill core and critical openings across the company, and build a diverse and inclusive culture e.g Veterans, Returners

  • Provide expert guidance to business leaders and hiring managers on attracting and selecting highly skilled diverse candidates. Advise on optimal use of talent pipelines and retention strategies.

  • Lead talent mobility hiring strategies, leveraging talent data to build internal talent pipelines for core and critical roles while also advancing AIG careers.

  • Working closely across talent teams, manage the successful offer process, ensuring high-quality outcomes across firmwide programs, including participant experience, quality of hire, learning, performance, promotion, fast-tracking and retention.

  • Create and execute on Employment Branding to the next generation of talent, providing input to the Communications team to ensure that brand is on point with AIG, and appeals to talent segments through appropriate social media, events (e.g., career fairs in person and virtually), and other means of recruiting top talent.

  • Partner with Manager and People Analytics on reporting of offers, as well as with the Finance team on the approvals for new talent into the organization. Expand partnership to measure and assess the success of all programs delivering timely insights and analytics to evaluate progress and outcomes.

  • Advocate for appropriate recruiting strategies and provide input on cross Talent Acquisition matters including people, process and technology.

  • Stay current with advancements of technology, platforms, and vendors supporting the build of early talent and diverse non traditional talent pipelines.

  • Ensure candidates receive a best-in-class experience at all touch points throughout the recruitment process.

  • Manage a budget for global system and tools, and monitor effectiveness of our investments/ROI

Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in Early Careers hiring strategy and execution, having led this area of work

  • Prior knowledge of lateral hiring in high volume environment would be a plus

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and technical expertise in leading teams, managing multiple stakeholders, handling high volumes and building and executing on hiring initiatives.

  • Boundaryless mindset, ability to build global strategies.

  • Ambassador for diversity, equity and inclusion and proven experience in successfully delivering on DEI goals and objectives.

  • Able to create strategies independently and lead teams to execute with excellence.

  • Strong understanding of the overall candidate experience.

  • Understand new models for recruiting talent to diversify our talent pool – an understanding of how apprenticeships work globally, including all governmental models in each state and country is desirable.

  • Can lead a group of experienced recruiters, knows how to lead campus hiring events, and other career fairs for non-traditional joining points.

  • Able to effectively operate in a highly complex and large scale organization.

  • Strong team leadership and engagement skills to drive a high performance culture.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and teams in a collaborative and influential manner, build strong working relationships and make the connection between business goals and Early Careers team goals to deliver an effective and impactful strategy for AIG.

  • Expert in managing organizational processes and networking effectively to get work executed efficiently.

  • Flexible and agile and not afraid to work in an ever-changing business landscape.

  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written and experience of delivering presentations with executive presence.

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and globally, as required.
