Adviser Compliance Associates LLC Senior IT Support Specialist in New York, New York

The Opportunity: As a Senior IT Support Specialist you will have direct accountability for the administration and support of one or more of ACA Compliance Group's internal technologies, applications and/or processes. The individual in this position is also responsible for providing internal IT helpdesk support by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and network problems for users throughout ACA and assist with maintenance of ACA's IT infrastructure (and supporting documentation).

What you'll do:

Technical Support - Perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on user computers; Troubleshoot end user hardware/software issues, printers/scanners/copiers, telephone/PDA/BlackBerry/iPhone equipment, and any other peripherals; Maintain records of reported hardware/software issues and remedial action taken

User Support - Assist with developing internal training materials and procedures, and/or training employees in the proper use of hardware/software; Create instructions for hardware/software enhancements to be distributed to employees; Organize systems trainings for local and remote employees

Computer Systems Maintenance - Perform system upgrades as necessary for hardware/software related components; Perform light administrative duties on network servers; Monitor backup procedures and perform occasional recoveries to ensure backup integrity; Refer major hardware/software problems or defective products to vendors for service

Supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to junior colleagues

Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives

To qualify for the role you must have:

Bachelor's Degree preferred - major or concentration in CS / MIS; Technical
Certifications a plus

Minimum of 2 years of substantial experience installing, troubleshooting, configuring, updating and maintaining Windows environments

Skills and attributes for success:

Experience in Tier 1 and 2 technical support

Extensive knowledge of and experience with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010/2013 deployment, configuration, and administration, desktop printer/scanner/copier support, PDAs, BlackBerries, iPhones/Androids and other supported wireless devices and peripherals

Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one's own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks

Dedicated to upholding ACA's high quality standards and customer service focus

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong oral and written communication skills
