Clouds where we are hiring our next stellar Senior / Lead Designer:

Infrastructure Analytics

Infrastructure Analytics develops intelligent, data driven products which enable our customers to plan and manage infrastructure capacity and cost at Salesforce scale across multiple cloud environments (1st Party and Public Cloud). We apply advanced machine learning techniques to turn the petabytes of data generated by our global infrastructure into actionable predictions, recommendations and business insights used by capacity planners, internal service owners, finance teams and executive leaders daily. You will be working with a group of world-class product managers, engineers, data scientists and architects to build analytics products that our internal customers and executive leadership will love, adopt and use to make business critical decisions.

Platform Developer Experience (DX)

The Platform DX team is building the next generation of tools empowering Salesforce software developers to build products that surprise and delight our customers. The scope for this position will be responsible for designing experiences on the cutting edge of continuous integration and delivery systems that Salesforce developers use to plan, build, test, and deploy their code. The ideal candidate has experience in technical enterprise products, leading design teams, partnering with PM and Engineering teams. You will be expected to understand and embrace complex technical problems and drive a vision to solve them with design. You will work closely with a team of passionate stakeholders to design experiences for our developers. You must have excellent communication skills, energy, and thoughtfulness to build and deliver the best in the world for our platform developers.

Non Profit Cloud:

This role will work across the Nonprofit Cloud product line to deliver an intuitive user experience for both the experienced Salesforce user and the novice alike. If you like defining the standards of user experience and creating complex designs this may be the role for you. Some examples of work you'd be responsible for include: running office hours for small, consulting type engagements with PM and Engineering, partnering with UX Researchers and Product Managers to evaluate what problems we need to solve for our users, creating solutions to those problems, and working with engineering to ensure product quality.

Education Cloud:

This role will work across all of Education Cloud's major product lines to deliver simple, intuitive user experiences. If you're a product thinker, like defining the standards of user experience, and operationalizing processes to drive quality this may be the role for you.

Integrated Customer Experience Team:

As a talented and seasoned Senior / Lead Product Designer for Platform, you’ll be a leader; creating a vision for enabling the success of our customers. You will help build connective tissue across product spaces, identifying opportunities and creating concepts that lead to more unified experiences across the Salesforce Platform. In partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and Content Experience, your design team will have the opportunity to make a huge impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms. We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering phenomenal customer-centric experiences, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. Experience / Skills Required

  • Able to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish

  • Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines

  • Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team

  • Knowledge of the psychology behind information visualization

  • Experience designing enterprise dashboards and reports for large data sets

  • Expert understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices

  • Expert knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, PhotoShop, Fireworks, Illustrator

  • Ability to communicate your ideas to a wide variety of key stakeholders

  • Ability to lead and manage large design initiatives

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role

Responsibilities:

  • Compellingly communicate your ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders

  • Function as a bridge across disciplines, such as Design, Product, Engineering, and Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers and user research to create a vision for your product area

  • Own various web and mobile application features, interfaces and experiences

  • Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide

  • Generate detailed specs of final designs that allow devs to build accurately

  • Work with devs and QE to deliver polished final product

  • Evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns

  • Mentor new members of design staff
