GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Manager of Finance is a key leader / business advisor in FP&A to support the LensCrafters Retail NA business. Works directly with key business partners to ensure financial discipline is being followed at all levels.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting

  • Lead documents development for weekly business reviews including business results, KPIs and key trends along with relevant commentary specific to gross margin and direct sell P&L items

  • Manage corporate reporting templates and requests

  • Weekly/Monthly Gross Margin analysis by banner and product category with insights into key drivers and potential areas for improvement

  • Drive ad-hoc requests from business partners

Forecast/Budgets/Estimate

  • Develop monthly/quarterly forecasts for P&L line items (gross profit, store selling expenses, advertising expenses, and capital expenditures) in partnership with functional leaders to ensure accuracy

  • Partner with product teams to ensure alignment on all assumptions and KPIs; calculation of DOP based on planning inputs

  • Build and assist in completion of forecast packages to leadership team

Month End Close

  • Lead monthly actual P&L analysis including variance explanations in partnership with accounting team and functional partners

Inventory

  • Lead month end inventory analysis of stock levels by location/season/product category

  • Monitor obsolete inventory in partnership with assortment execution and cost accounting

  • Analyze physical inventory results in partnership with business partners to minimize shrink impact

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • S. in Accounting or Finance

  • 7+ years accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Accounting

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes

  • Exceptional analysis skills, curiosity to research issues and willingness to expand breadth of knowledge

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Systems – advanced excel skills, experience with Business Objects, ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Hyperion Essbase/Planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA

  • Retail financial planning experience
