Job Title: Marketing - Senior Manager, Haircare

Location: New York, NY

Reports To: Assistant Vice President, Marketing

What You Will Do:

  • The Senior Manager will support the Assistant Vice President of Marketing on haircare launches. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop and implement 360 go-to-market plans for launches in the US. Work cross-functionally to ensure perfect execution across all touchpoints including, but not limited to, media, digital, website, PR, influencer, medical, retail.com, etc. With Global Marketing partners, develop messaging/direct-to-consumer communications leveraging consumer insights and research.

  • Through collaboration with sales, successfully sell-in launches across all retail accounts in the mass, drug, and food channels, with door counts meeting forecast projections.

  • Collaborate closely with the Global Marketing team on launch excellence in all areas (creative/advertising campaigns, manufacturing timelines, etc.).

  • Be an expert in haircare category, with knowledge of competitive brands, launches, products, and consumer. Proactively conduct market research and uncover insights to inform strategy.

  • Be the haircare data & analytics lead, with the ability to quickly pull, analyze, and summarize syndicated data on the market, competitors, retailers, etc.

  • Manage the haircare sell-out forecast, while collaborating closely with demand planning on the sell-in forecast.

  • Manage brand haircare P&Ls, with a focus on A&P budget.

  • Manage day-to-day operations with excellence and interact effectively with cross-functional departments.

  • Work with the sales team and retailers to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategy in the retail environment.

  • Monitor production plans to ensure full support of business, track any risks that could impact business.

    What We Are Looking For:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of brand/product marketing experience.

  • 2-3 years experience working on haircare brands that play in the mass market (Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Grocery, Amazon).

  • Demonstrates L’Oréal Competencies: Leadership, Entrepreneurial Management, Achiever, and Innovator

  • Strong data analysis skills– i.e. competitive, US market, sales with a strong proficiency in Nielsen retail scan data. With the ability to efficiently pull data and quickly analyze/summarize insights.

  • Strong PowerPoint/Story-Telling skills – Excellence in using PowerPoint to build beautiful stories for both internal and external meetings/presentations.

  • Systems Proficiency (i.e. Nielsen, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data

  • Communicates and interacts effectively (written and oral) – listens with intent, actively networks

  • Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métier; understands beauty

  • Acts with Human Sensitivity – demonstrates respect (i.e. adapts behavior to respect different personalities), enriches team dynamic
