Goldman Sachs & Company Senior Product Manager Digital Publishing and Marketing Platform in New York, New York

Goldman Sachs is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Publishing & Marketing platform team known as GS Publishing. We are providing a platform for content producers to reach the wider GS customer and can't simply prioritize one group over another, we need a PM that can find the right balance.
Your Impact
The GS Publishing Platform is Goldman Sachs' strategic platform for digital content publishing and marketing. The ideal candidate is someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, passion for understanding client needs and building great products for them. In this role you will engage with key stakeholders across businesses, clients, engineering, design and marketing teams across various divisions at Goldman Sachs to develop, prioritize and build the roadmap for the GS Publishing Platform.

Our team of product managers work closely with creatives and researchers through our design teams and are fortunate to have many experienced fintech engineers to help architect and develop technologies. We are responsible for guiding products throughout all stages of the product's lifecycle, including research, pitching, scoping, delivering, promoting, and tailoring solutions to our clients.
How will you fulfill your potential?
You will be an experienced and seasoned product manager, working cross-functionally to guide products from conception through launch, growth and maturity by connecting the technical and business worlds to meet our customers at their needs. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development and release adopting the principals of growth from MVP.
As the Senior Product Manager for the GS Publishing Platform you will:
Play a critical role in understanding how content is created and leveraged to deliver One Goldman Sachs to our clients
Work with business unit's, engineering teams from across the firm and the platform governance committee to prioritize feature enhancements for the platform
Act as a subject matter expert and provide thought leadership on the development of content related initiatives at GS
Define the product vision, roadmap and growth goals for the platform
Stay on top of industry trends and leverage this to drive the roadmap
Analyze quantitative and qualitative customer feedback and KPIs to inform product strategy and pipeline development
Prioritize initiatives and features using domain expertise, customer insights, and market research to make informed trade-offs between new feature development, platform investment, and optimizations
Scope product releases (MVPs) to deliver value early and validate business hypotheses with the least amount of effort
Lead governance meetings, white-boarding, design think workshops, etc... as required
Influence senior leaders' decision making and investment
Coach junior product managers

Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience building/shipping technical products
5-7 years of experience working as a Product Manager in digital content/media for a large news organization; plus for one that has an API strategy
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and technical architectures to all stakeholders
Demonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead a product development team
Ability to understand and articulate customer needs and turn requirements into actionable solutions
Preferred qualifications:
Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking - someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction
Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research, sales, trading, treasury, customer support or marketing
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
You are a thoughtful partner to our internal and external users - understanding their business and influencing their processes
