What we need:

Our Marketplace is at the heart of Shutterstock's offering. Shutterstock adds hundreds of thousands of images each week, and currently has more than 390 million images and more than 23 million video clips available to license. Marketplace at Shutterstock is a multidisciplinary craft, involving full-funnel optimization as well as new product strategy and innovation. We are focused on building digital experiences and offerings that gratify users and drive key business outcomes.

We need a Sr. Product Manager who can hypercharge organic traffic for our eCommerce business. This person will use their deep understanding of current and prospective customers as well as SEO best practices to evolve our global acquisition initiatives. Organic search drives hundreds of millions of sessions per year and this position is an opportunity to impact the global growth of our Marketplace.
The day to day:

Collaborate with other Marketplace product owners as well as channel owners to set the strategic direction, scope, and success metrics for SEO.

Maintain a deep understanding of modern SEO strategies, best practices, the competitive landscape, and technology trends to shape strategic decisions, plans, and priorities.

See products and optimizations through their entire lifecycle-from concept through to validation, build, post-launch analytics, and iterations.

Partner with Marketing and Research to identify new opportunities, define hypotheses, problem statements, run experiments, KPIs, ensure solutions meet business objectives, and ensure user acquisition leads to qualified traffic and optimal conversion.

Partner with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineering leads in a consultative manner to ensure that SEO considerations are factored into day-to-day product decisions and development.

Perform frequent audits and analyses to determine high-value growth opportunities in core areas such as site structure, content strategy, keyword selection, catalog expansion, on-page optimization, CTR optimization, XML sitemaps, site-speed, link opportunities, etc.

Prioritize, scope, run, and analyze rigorous experiments to test new SEO strategies, ensure priority pages are optimized for the proper keyword focus, and provide visitors both content and functionality to match their intent.

Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics to surface actionable insights and product requirements.

Define and prioritize user stories and run the Agile planning and backlogs for your team.

Own and manage the engineering team's backlog, defining acceptance criteria and prioritizing user stories, while partnering with the engineering manager to set sprint goals and reviews.

Manage stakeholders in product, marketing, and technology.

Extensively post GIFs and emojis throughout Slack channels.
What you bring to the role:

You have 5+ years as a Product Manager, ideally in eCommerce.

You have 4+ years of professional experience in SEO with a proven track record of successfully developing, managing, and implementing large-scale SEO initiatives and delivering effective results.

You possess extensive knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking strategies, and a passion to stay abreast of trends in SEO.

You have an extensive understanding of SEO analytics and research platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Ads Keyword Planner, as well as familiarity with various third-party SEO analytics solutions such as Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Botify, etc.

You have experience building a product roadmap and working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.

You have experimentation and A/B testing experience in guiding rapid iterative product development.

You are adept at analyzing, quantifying, and articulating trade-offs of product roadmap features.

You have strong verbal communication and presentation skills.

You have a deep attention to detail and desire to collaborate on new processes for efficiency.

You have a bias toward data-driven decision making.

You have a demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver core responsibilities against deadlines.

You are great at quickly building consensus.
