Shutterstock adds hundreds of thousands of images each week, and currently has more than 380 million images and more than 23 million video clips available to license. Marketplace at Shutterstock is a multi-disciplinary craft, involving full funnel optimization as well as new product strategy and innovation. We are focused on building digital experiences and offerings that gratify users and drive key business outcomes.
We are on a mission to grow our video business exponentially, providing both the content and the features our customers need to create impactful content. We need a growth-minded and creative product manager with video industry experience to expand our reach and win in an increasingly competitive market.
The Senior Product Manager is dually responsible for working with key stakeholders to set goals and drive execution. This person should be a proven, outcome-oriented product manager who can manage expectations, dependencies and timelines across multiple teams, and ensure a smooth roll out of delightful end-to-end user experiences.
The Day to Day
Collaborate with the Senior Director, Video + Music Products as well as channel owners to set the strategic direction, scope and success metrics for video
Work with designers, developers and other stakeholders across the company to bring the vision to life - ensuring requirements are clear and rational, making trade-offs as needed, and delivering a finished product that achieves its goals, on schedule
Establish requirements based on market trends, analytics and researched customer needs.
Partner with our engineering teams to evolve our software and systems architecture to support a rapidly growing customer base across multiple countries and languages.
Manage stakeholders in product, sales, marketing, and technology.
Analyze and interpret key product and feature metrics to surface actionable insights and product requirements
Collaborate with colleagues across the entire company including other product teams, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and the executive team to develop holistic customer experiences
Extensively post GIFs and emojis throughout Slack channels.
What you bring to the role
You have 5-7 years of Product Management Experience, ideally in video.
Passionate about the "creator economy" and building tools that enable video editors, marketers and influencers to produce content that stands out
Data-driven customer centric approach toward product development. Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others.
You are adept at analyzing, quantifying and articulating trade-offs of product roadmap features. You're a big picture thinker.
You have strong verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to tailor your message to effectively resonate with your audience.
You have a deep attention to detail and desire to collaborate on new processes for efficiency.
You have a bias toward data-driven decision making.
