Hentsu Senior Sales Executive - US Eastern Standard Timezone in New York, New York

We seek an experienced sales professional with a track record of sourcing new clients and closing deals that generate new revenue for the firm. As a part of our sales team, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record to penetrate new prospect organizations to introduce Portfolio BI, convey our value, and generate opportunities to grow the business. Deep industry and product experience will enable this candidate to target new prospects in investment managers and insurance companies’ sectors of the market.

This is a new business sales role, requiring you to research opportunities, initiate discussions, build prospect relationships, manage the complete sales process, and close deals that generate new revenue for the firm. Primary prospects will be asset managers, alternative asset managers, hedge funds and fund allocators.

You will:

  • Penetrate new prospect organizations to introduce Portfolio BI, convey our value, and generate opportunities to grow business; cultivate new senior-level relationships at target firms

  • Lead the sales process from prospecting through close, including lead generation, client meetings, prospect qualification, and RFP completion

  • Proactively build/drive pipeline volume of new clients, accelerate the sales cycle, and actively manage to close

  • Collaborate with Portfolio BI relevant management resources to drive product and messaging strategies to differentiate our solutions in the marketplace

  • Partner with Product Specialist and Pre-Sales team during client presentations to ensure client engagement and a positive outcome

  • Work closely with operations, legal, finance and relationship management to align opportunities with Portfolio BI's corporate goals

  • Understand, monitor, and communicate competitor activity throughout the market, identifying key strengths and weaknesses relative to Portfolio BI's product offering

  • This role would typically require travel; however, due to COVID-19, this is now less likely.


You have:

  • Proven leadership skills and sales success

  • Proven ability to hunt for new clients and new relationships

  • Proven ability to gain access to, interact and engage with C-level executives

  • Excellent time management and presentation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal skills along with a high level of professionalism

  • A demonstrated track record of achieving/exceeding financial goals

  • The ability to work within a collaborative environment to achieve results

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence colleagues and virtual team members

  • 5 - 10 years of experience and a successful track record selling to institutions, including successful positioning of active strategies and exceeding growth targets

  • Demonstrated track record of success building complex solutions with and for clients, including credit and multi-asset class strategies

  • Existing industry profile and relationships is preferred and can help accelerate the success of sales initiatives

  • Strong technical ability, investment acumen and the ability to understand and appreciate the details

  • You have a record of setting, measuring, meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Deep financial services background and experience

  • BA/BS Degree


Compensation and benefits package:

Compensation, which will be competitive and commensurate with experience, will include a base salary and a commission schedule. Portfolio BI also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
