Summit?s strategic involvement has helped EHE reach new heights as a pioneering force in preventive care.What we?re looking for:We?re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer who will become an integral part of a seasoned team of software engineers. This individual will participate with a team of experienced web application developers in building the next generation of ground breaking healthcare applications, supporting both our clinical processes and engaging consumers in their healthcare journey. Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to this 106-year-old "startup".

We?re looking for an individual who will immediately become a key member of the team. You?ll play a significant role in the continued development of our core application as we add new features and grow our customer base. Upon joining the company, you?ll be expected to contribute to design decisions and produce simple and elegant working code.In this role, you will:

  • Work with product development and clients to build new cloud native applications and enhance current applications

  • Understand modern software engineering, development and management practices

  • Collaborate with partners and clients on how to implement and maintain platforms

  • Build secure web applications using modern cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Containers, etc.

  • Troubleshoot critical development and production issues

  • Define and enable standards for monitoring, reliability and performance

  • Think through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handle failure scenarios

What this role requires:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in software engineering

  • Experience with MySQL

  • Ability to build and deliver applications in an agile environment

  • Familiarity with CI/CD Tools like Jenkins

  • Ability to interact with complex database structures

  • Proficiency in Java

  • Good experience in performing peer source code reviews

  • Good experience in analyzing and extracting business rules from Java based applications

  • Familiarity with building web applications in healthcare environments adhering to HIPAA practices

  • Excellent adherence to process

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like git

  • Ability to apply attained experience in solving routine to moderately complex problems

  • Familiar with Agile software development methodologies

  • Have strong written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with changing demands

  • Ability to understand and think like the consumers of our product
