POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Technical Designer provides specific technical support for the Calvin Klein Supply Chain through strong technical proficiency, organization, and leadership on Close to Body (CTB) – Sports Bras & Swim. They are responsible in achieving correct fits and design details from design inception through production top of line within the compliance calendar dates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB

  • Interact with Design and Merchandising during prototype development to achieve design standards for the designated category.

  • Lead all aspects of the creation and maintenance of prototype, sample, and production status charts and reference books in conjunction with the compliance approval process.

  • Manage and drive the block/proto/fit/pre-production sample fittings. Update all fit notes and revised size specs into centric in a timely manner and pass to production team.

  • Ability to clearly communicate pattern spec and fit changes through sourcing to offshore vendors.

  • Ability to drive the product risk assessments and follow up the testing to ensure meet the PVH expectations.

  • Ensure that all prototypes and samples are reviewed upon arrival for trim and details.

  • Organize proto and sample review set up.

  • Develop and set up in-house block library.

  • Understand the printing & testing process and follow up with offshore and vendor to improve the printing quality and testing passed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years related work experience

  • Proficiently in using computer and quick learning

  • Proficiently using Centric PLM preferable

  • Experience working in Multi product category is advantage

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Professional, mature person with command presence

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Internal: Design, Merchandising and Sourcing teams

External: Offshore and vendors

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must work with design and Supply Chain teams to ensure maintain design integrity while ensuring that price guidelines are adhered to.

DECISION MAKING:

  • Seasonal execution

  • Budget decisions within the confines of a preset budget

  • Issue resolution in partnership with internal GSC Sourcing Teams / leaders

  • Product decisions for execution in the production pipeline

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be solution-oriented and be willing and able to find creative solutions to complex problems.

ENVIRONMENT: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, if needed.

Pay Range:$95,000 - $115,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
