Kforce has partnered with an environmentally friendly retail client seeking a Senior Web Designer in New York, New York (NY). As the Sr. Web Designer, you will report to the Art director. As the Senior Web Designer, you oversee, conceptualize and execute designs for editorial features, home and landing pages and special seasonal/brand shops. You will be able to plan seasonal merchandising assets as well as design and execute full site windows. Our client has received multiple awards and recognition for their environmental efforts.   • Manage workflow and project timelines for assigned web design projects with the aid of the Project Manager and Art Director

  • Produce, optimize and output final Web-ready digital artwork

  • Maintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail on a variety of projects simultaneously throughout the creative and production process

  • Guide and take responsibility for growth and performance of Direct Reports

  • Lead meetings and present work to Executive level

  • Maintain and oversee a patterning library for design and functionality

  • Brainstorm with team and cross-functional partners to create innovative brand communication, translate merchandising strategies to elevate and evolve the brand

  • Collaborate closely with merchants and marketing to translate merchandising strategy into compelling, brand-right creative

  • Bachelor's degree (Design / Interactive) or equivalent experience

  • 4-6 years Web design in an agency or a brand

  • Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design

  • Proven talent in graphic and interactive design

  • Mastery of appropriate tools & technology

  • Advanced Photoshop, with excellent digital photo-manipulation and compositing skills, working knowledge Illustrator, InDesign

  • Knowledge of best practices for Web image optimization

  • Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, AJAX

  • Motion graphics & video editing experience for web (After Effects & Final Cut Pro) a plus

  • Strong retail/fashion brand or agency experience desired; ecommerce experience ideal

  • Must be a conceptual, strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills, and ability to see the big picture

  • Understand and be able to improve upon merchant and marketing objectives for each project and season assigned

  • Ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences

  • Discerning eye for photo editing, cropping, and compositing

  • Expert Photoshop
