Section 2: Job Summary
The Sephora Sales Educator is responsible for retail sales per door and ensuring corporate goals are met. Candidate will develop all assigned store personnel with universal training strategy. Source, hire, and train retail selling specialists (RSS). SSE will inspire and train all Sephora beauty advisors, and Beauty Experts. Duties include executing events, trainings to maximize daily business goals, promotional activities, and launches. Sephora Sales Educators spend 80% of their time in the field.
Section 3: Job Requirements
1. High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred) and minimum of 3 years' experience in cosmetic or retail management
2. Self-motivated, results oriented, and a creative thinker

5. Ability to work autonomously and make effective decisions independently
6. Ability to execute training (on stage and back stage) content for Sephora master classes, off site trainings, & new store openings

8. Proficient computer skills necessary - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
9. Ability to build and maintain professional, productive relationships with store, district & regional leadership
10. Negotiation skills to leverage brand and company objectives and resources to maximize training, education and selling opportunities
Section 4: Judgment and Decision Making
Supervision for the Sephora Sales Educator position is intermittent. SSE will maintain regular communication with the Sales and Op`s Manager through e-mail and phone as needed.
SSE will be responsible for managing Beauty Experts (RSS) in designated doors. Required to make independent decisions on utilization of resources and actions to be taken to achieve business goals.
Monitor Rank and Gondola productivity monthly, implement strategies and actions based on the trend.
Staying on top of update deliveries and holding stores accountable to execution of gondola/ launch/ visual merchandising standards within the corporately allocated time frame.
Section 5: Essential Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, must be able to stand for up to 8 hrs per day.
Able to travel (air, car, train), overnights as needed based on territory assignment.
Working closely with operations teams in store to ensure proper execution of gondola updates, merchandising standards and the inner workings of Sephora's stock system.
Being able to transport event collateral, and utilize to create animation for events.
Timely distribution of beauty advisor gratis, store samples for events, and training materials for key launches.
Section 6: Financial Scope
Achieving company objectives, retail goals, and brand expectations
Annual Budget Responsibility: RSS budget, training and event budgets, personal T&E budget, and ISD budgets
Annual Revenue Responsibility: This will depend based on the volume of the territory, and aligns with brand expectations to deliver retail objectives
Plan and execute seasonal strategies by door to align with company`s directive based on the Paniers
Section 7: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. In-store seasonal planning and execution
Coordinate seasonal events for national accounts. Plan and negotiate product launches with Store Director, Color Lead and account management. (District Merchants, Regional Merchandise Managers, Visual Managers, Regional Cosmetic Managers, Directors of Stores) to ensure maximum visual effect and sales performance. Plan, communicate and execute all in-store events.
2. Business Analysis
Responsible for daily, monthly and seasonal tracking of total retail performance within territory. Must maintain knowledge of the trends of individual business segments and all of the key business drivers within each segment.
Monitor competitive activity and competitive retail performance within fragrance/beauty department. Ensure that market share and ranking objectives are being met/exceeded.
3. Meetings and Presentations
Prepare and carry out seasonal retailer presentations. Participate in and/or organize regional retailer strategy meetings.
4. Maintain gondola quality and merchandising
Monitor cleanliness of the counter stock, work with beauty advisors and store leadership to maintain quality requirements. Execute and maintain all merchandising standards.
5. Maintain budget
Maintain seasonal freelance budget, including sourcing freelancers, booking for appropriate events and executing their payments within the seasonal budget. Process T&E in a timely manner and within the guidelines. Maintain strict adherence to all budget guidelines and spend.
Weekly communication with N+1 regarding business performance, & stock conditions. Communication with store management regarding retail opportunities and training.
7. Monitoring of Stock
Work with Planning team to identify opportunities with stock levels. Communicate stock needs/concerns and track incoming shipments to ensure timely arrival in store. Correct and monitor all stock discrepancies at store level with verification of corrections from store leadership.
8. Training and Development
Train beauty advisors and RSS' to increase sales by making sure she/he is fulfilling all the responsibilities. Teach beauty advisors & RSS how to maximize productivity by developing selling skills, client service skills, elevated events success and product demonstration.
9. Sourcing/hiring/talent assessment
Consistently source and interview candidates for RSS positions. Assure we have the best talent based on brand goal achievement, productivity (SPH, IPT, and AUS), selling skills, client registry level and quality, customer service, etc. Insure ROI is 10x's RSS hourly pay rate.
