Amazon Live is one of the newest and fastest growing strategic programs at Amazon. We are creating an innovative real-time video shopping experience that integrates audience interactivity with live streaming video. In the summer of 2020, we enabled influencers to stream live using our Amazon Live Creator iOS app on the Amazon homepage, amazon.com/live and their Amazon influencer stores. We are now focusing on the next phases of our program in an effort to delight our customers with engaging content that is personalized.
As a Software Engineer on Amazon Live, you will specialize in building highly scalable services that enable real time lifelike interactivity features and support the video creator/viewer mobile App front end. You will build features that enable video ingestion, stream management and categorization in order to better serve our Amazon viewers with quality streams. You will bring your expertise and ideas in the areas of distributed computing, scalable architecture, UI and mobile design, performance and metrics reporting to help our fast-paced business grow and evolve.

\* Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C\# including object-oriented design
\* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Math or related field with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
\* Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
\* Experience applying computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
\* Able to prioritize weighing customer, business and engineering needs, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver results
\* Development experience defining, developing and maintaining web service API's.
\* Experience in leveraging AWS systems is a plus.
