AWS QuickSight is a fast, easy-to-use cloud-based, serverless Business Intelligence (BI) service designed for easy deployment to tens of thousands of users. We are looking for seasoned technical leadership and people management in the form of a Software Development Manager. We would like a person with more than a decade of production software development experience who can manage a team of outstanding developers, make multi-year architectural decisions and lead R&D efforts to success.
As a manager in QuickSight, you will be responsible for wearing many hats and owning critical pieces of the product. You will help in defining the creative vision, product requirements, and user experience while also leading a software engineering team to drive the product from concept all the way into customer's hands. You will own the day-to-day operations of your team and hold them to the highest standards on the quality of product and ongoing support and maintenance provided to our customers. You will hire and develop the best talent to execute on the vision.

\* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
\* 10+ years of software development experience
\* 5+ years of people management experience
\* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\* Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving
\* Proven track record of delivery
\* Master Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
\* 10+ years of people management experience
\* Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
