Super Soccer Stars Coaching Sr. Coaching Manager in New York, New York

Super Soccer Stars is the parent company of three premier children's sports development programs, holding over 1000 classes each week for early childhood, elementary, and middle school children. Super Soccer Stars team of over 200 full and part-time staff and instructors and coaches are committed to delivering the highest quality educational experience in over 250 schools, childcare centers, and facilities throughout New York metro area.

The Senior Coaching Manager is a full-time position for a talented, creative, and personable individual with exceptional written and oral communication skills. We are seeking an innovative thinker with an infectious energetic personality to assist in leading our team of educators and coaches. This will be an in-person position at our Upper West Side New York office with daily visits to observe other NY locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and report to the Regional Manager

  • Represent the position of being an ambassador, to mentor and guide the coaching team appropriately.

  • Supervise and evaluate educators and coaches to ensure the overall quality of the program

  • Keep track of performance and frequency in fulfilling our quality standards

  • Assist in development of staff training program

  • Lead, provide materials for and participate in coach training

  • Train, mentor and develop the coaches and actively hire according to the seasonality of the business

  • Liaise with parents to receive feedback on staff performance and program content and take proactive mesaures.

Requirements

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education/Exercise Physiology is a plus

  • Minimum of two years of coaching experience and practical application, preferably in soccer

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing the instructors and coaches

  • Ability to work on at least one weekend day in a week

  • Aptitude for effectively preparing and delivering presentations to a large group

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Leadership skills

  • Customer service oriented

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel across the city

  • Strong communication and knowledge of the city

  • Personable, intelligent, hard-working, outgoing, and energetic

  • Ability to work independently and proactively on projects and responsibilities
