PVH Corp. Sr. Demand Planner (CKU Retail) - CALVIN KLEIN in New York, New York

The Senior Demand Planner will be responsible for contributing to the management of the demand plan for assigned brands. Collaboration with Sales, Planning, and Production, as well as JDA Forecasting software will be utilized to assist in the creation of accurate forecasts, which will allow us to achieve the highest level of customer service and quality of inventory. Provide analysis to help develop Sales, Product Development and Purchasing plans to meet the divisions’ strategic and financial objectives

  • Creation and maintenance of detailed records of over 2500 DFU (style/color/customer) forecasts in JDA Demand planning tool.

  • Set measurable goals, monitor forecast error and develop action plans to improve color/style, sub-class, category, and sales channel forecast at both the account and distribution center (DC) level.

  • Maintain forecast accuracy at 75% - 80% by using historical trends, secondary data, input from business partners and statistical forecasting methods to create a quality forecast for designated area of responsibility.

  • Drive a strong analysis and summarize the results of all data pertinent to creating and explaining the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions and new and lost business) to leadership

  • Project and escalate potential business impacts due to demand changes by providing timely high profile communication to management and both planning and supply teams.

  • Analyze actual performance to the forecast and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

  • Lead and own monthly Basic shipping estimates (Ship Spread) utilizing dollarized JDA forecast while supporting position with management and finance partners.

  • Own Comparative (margin) budgets utilizing JDA, ACS and Sourcing costs to develop gross margin budgets 2x’s/year driving Brand profitability.

  • Own & collaborate cross functionally on Core budget building 2x’s year utliziting JDA dollarized forecasts

  • Present and detail demand forecast changes at Monthly Demand Supply Review meetings to all cross functional partners including Operatons and Supply

  • Prepare and support monthly collaboration meetings for key accounts to align demand and ensure successful executions of various programs (introduction, maintenance, termination)-internal and external

  • Provide Ad Hoc analytical support to multiple departments and Senior Management for business decision making utlizling tools such as JDA, Tableau and ACS

High proficiency in JDA Demand (or similar statistical Demand Planning tool) and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Direct or indirect relationship through work in such areas as planning, inventory management, commercial analysis, operations, buying/procurement, financial analysis, and/or logistics/distribution. Experience in collaborative or integrated planning process preferred Consumer products company, preferred, fast moving consumer goods in multi-channel business highly desirable

  • Strong business judgment, planning and allocation skills

  • Strong communication a must

  • Strong overall systems background

  • JDA Demand experience highly desirable

  • Strong ability to influence others in a productive and professional manner

Demand Planning is a very specific skill and proficiency in an algorithmic system (like JDA) is a must. Training on a tool like JDA takes a minimum of 6+ months of training. Demand Planning is a fairly new concept in the Apparel/Fashion industry making it difficult to find candidates in our industry with experience. Candidate is required to foster and develop relationships not only with internal PVH associates (retail planning, operations, supply planning & sales) but also external. We collaborate heavily with our Wholesale partners on style/color forecasts aligning to seasonal and annual demand needs.
