Samsung Electronics America Sr Director - DOOH in New York, New York

Position Summary

Samsung Ads activates the advertising inventory across millions of Samsung TVs and Samsung Mobile devices. We are extending our leadership digital advertising to the third screen – DOOH panels. Samsung is the #1 seller of display panels in the US found in stadiums, retail stores, and many others.

It’s a great time to join a growing business leading and innovating the digital ads space. We are looking for a seasoned DOOH sales and go-to-market leader to set strategy, operate the go-to-market, and manage both a direct team and cross functional team to deliver high growth results.

Role and Responsibilities

  • DOOH Strategy Development . Be a key business principal in setting priorities for sales, product and operations. Build the roadmap and agenda for Samsung’s new DOOH business in conjunction with peer leaders in Ads Product and Hardware. Define and refine the ideal client profile and build the opportunity pipeline.

  • Sales Development and Account Management. Act as Player/Coach for existing team and expand the sales and service organization to scale the DOOH ads business. Sell Samsung DOOH offering to screen owners while meeting MBO targets. Actively engage with prospects to gather feedback, sell in the Samsung offering and service the account.

  • Supply and Demand Marketplace Development. Own go-to-market for DOOH ads supply acquisition and programmatic ads monetization. Lead demand partnerships with SSPs and DSPs and set the strategy for partners to add to expand Samsung’s demand access. Set the strategy for going after Samsung and third-party hardware and CMS screens.

  • Market Feedback and Product Support. Be the voice of the customer to gather feedback from prospects and clients to improve Samsung’s DOOH offering. As an industry expert, own monetization market trends and steer our business and technical priorities to meet the market.

  • Internal Cross Functional Management. The role will act as the bridge between teams across Hardware, Ads Product, BD, Legal, Operations and HQ. Communication and collaboration across team functions and cultures is critical to success. There will be occasional off hours calls to collaborate across time zones with teams in US, Asia and Europe.

  • External Market Development and Evangelism. Attend industry events and conferences to establish and evangelize Samsung Ads DOOH brand

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive in DOOH and programmatic advertising

  • Previously worked at a DOOH Screen Owner, DSP or SSP.

  • Proven record of managing large scale Digital Ads business

  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements.

  • Ability to work cross functionally to drive internal alignment.

  • Exceptional communication skills in multi-cultural environment.

  • Flexibility to travel to meet with partners and internal customers.

  • Extensive programmatic experience in the advertising technology industry.

  • Familiarity with DOOH ad operations and trafficking in DSP or SSP systems.

  • 15+ years sales and account management experience

  • B.A. or B.S. equivalent from accredited school

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC, is expected to be between $230,00 and $250,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
