Job summary
We're seeking a seasoned leader to inspire and lead a team of senior sales executives focused on driving the adoption of AWS Cloud Services within our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customers. This team is responsible for all facets of a complex portfolio customers. The leader will build a business to enable SaaS ISVs to innovate and build their solutions on AWS leading to the acceleration of top line revenue goals. The leader must have strong business acumen, a leadership track-record of building high growth businesses, and excellent executive relationship and communication skills. This team has a broad impact internally and externally so the leader must be able to effectively align the Sales team cross-functionally with the Partner Organization, Business Development, AWS product teams, and Senior Executive Teams.
As a Senior Leader focused on our fast growing ISV customers and partners in North America, you'll have an exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of cloud computing, by building and leading a sales team dedicated to helping ISV customers deliver innovative solutions leveraging leading-edge AWS services.

The right candidate will possess a technology sales and leadership background that enables them to lead a team of senior Account Executives with engagements at the CXO level. She/he should also be able to effectively engage AWS' executives on creative proposals and influence roadmap decisions for both AWS and the ISVs. To be successful, the candidate needs be a business owner, able to build and execute long-term plans, and be a highly inspiring leader. The leader should effortlessly motivate the team to deliver on the revenue targets, and ensure that AWS remains earth's best employer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

\* Drive adoption of AWS' full suite of cloud services into a set of Strategic ISV customers. Exceed annual revenue and growth targets
\* Build and manage a team of seasoned strategic sales professionals
\* Ensure customer satisfaction
\* Lead the development and execution of account plans by the field sellers
\* Inspect joint Go-To-Market (GTM) activities to drive and accelerate adoption of AWS' ISV's products, working closely with AWS partner teams
\* Build and nurture Executive Relationships

\* 10+ years of technology sales and business development, ideally with strong IaaS or PaaS experience
\* 5 years sales management experience of enterprise software sellers
\* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
\* Strong written communications skills
\* A technical background in engineering or computer science is a plus
\* A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
\* Track record of developing sustainable new business
\* Extensive customer network
\* Strong verbal and written communications skills
\* Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
\* Experience in positioning and selling technology in new customers and new market segments
\* Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business
\* Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
