Job summary

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Business Development and Strategic Industries (BDSI) team is searching for a seasoned professional who will report to BDSI Business Operations Leader to run operating cadences, contribute to performance management mechanisms, and help coordinate BDSI participation in AWS review mechanisms (e.g. Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Metric Reviews, Forecasting).

The successful candidate must have depth of expertise across CRM and Business Intelligence solution stacks, and have demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems. The candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data, be detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They will influence the continuous improvement of forecast models, business intelligence / reporting tools and other field activities to enable operational goals.

They will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal teams. They will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management and business-partnering skills, and be able to communicate complex strategies or analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive global standardization of program delivery practices, businesses processes, and reporting.

  • Work directly within global sales data to orchestrate metrics, key performance indicators and decision criteria.

  • Utilize tools including, Excel, SQL, and Tableau to create dashboards and insights from data.

  • Build out robust reporting mechanisms for the BDSI Leadership and Sales teams to monitor the business

  • Lead the development of new metrics that bring new clarity and insights

  • Drive consistency in reporting and methodology with stakeholders across a growing organization

  • Develop robust and scalable reporting solutions

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management

  • Coordinate BDSI and AWS mechanisms (Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Metric Reviews, Forecasting)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree required

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Planning, FP&A, Operations, Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields

  • Expert level in Excel and Data query tools. Experience with Tableau or other BI/analytics tool

  • Proven experience with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce), revenue reporting, forecasting, automation, etc.

  • Strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other advanced degree

  • Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to think strategically about business challenges using data

  • Experience working within a high-growth, global technology company

  • Strong business process design experience with end-to-end demonstration of results

  • Exhibits sound business judgment and a proven ability to influence others

  • Demonstrated successful track record planning and executing strategic and operational deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive to completion

  • Aptitude to learn new tools quickly

The pay range for this position in New York City is $147,300 - 199,300 (/yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
