We are looking to hire a Strategic Partnerships Associate based in NYC. In this role, you will grow Blueground’s network in all of our 6 US cities by acquiring exciting and diverse partnerships such as fitness centers, food ordering apps, and real estate developers. At the moment, we are present in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and DC.
If you enjoy traveling, being around people and forming strong relationships while remaining well organized and motivated, then this is the ideal position for you! It is a unique opportunity because the department is brand new. You will be the very 1st employee hired for this position. So, this means that there are tons of exciting things you can make happen! In this role, you will be working alongside the company Co-Founder and the Head of Partnerships.
As a Strategic Partnerships Executive, you will be expected to creatively identify, dynamically prospect and successfully acquire new potential partners. In addition, you will be expected to regularly evaluate, manage and even terminate the existing partners.
What you will focus on:
Identify new and exciting potential partnerships. Identify what Blueground needs at each specific time, and then decide would make more sense for the company.
Dynamically prospect new partners (A very important part of the role!). We like to be creative and are always open to new ideas. We are also very resilient and determined although rejection is to be expected - almost daily!
Negotiating, contracting, invoicing, etc. when a new partner is acquired. It is of the utmost importance to create solid partnerships that provide value for our guests.
Implementing and overseeing full-cycle partnerships by coordinating with departments such as Product, Tech Services, Marketing, Legal and Finance, both internally and externally.
Regularly managing and evaluating the relationships with existing partners.
What we are looking for:
2+ years experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Sales, Recruiting or Supply Chain
Degree from a respectable college/university
Outstanding communication skills (writing, presenting, negotiating)
Experience in the Real Estate or Hospitality industry is preferred but not essential
Happy to work in an unstructured environment
Well organized, sociable, risk-taker, self-motivated
