Your key responsibilities

The Senior Economist is responsible for developing proprietary market, revenue, marketing mix and other projections based on macroeconomic & microeconomic drivers bespoke to our clients’ needs. This person will collaborate with EY-Parthenon project teams to undertake robust and rigorous economic analysis and modeling for client engagement work. Leveraging macro research in client engagement projects, the Senior Economist will work with engagement teams to support research proposals, project reports and presentations and apply quantitative analytical techniques to large datasets using Eviews and Excel. This person will also provide formal macro/micro training to rotating group of internal client servers and client engagement teams and communicate with internal and external clients effectively, responding promptly to requests, and presenting findings in a clear way. The Senior Economist will act as a liaison between Chief Economist and client engagement teams and collaborate with EY business leaders and other groups on behalf of the Chief Economist on key project matters while focusing on improvements of efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

  • Leverage macro research in client engagement projects

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Master’s or Phd in macroeconomics, microeconomics or econometrics from top university

  • At least five years of experience in using applied macroeconomics and microeconomics models for forecasting and scenario analysis

  • At least five years of experience in sectoral economic impact analysis

  • At least five years of experience with statistical software (Eviews or other)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Ability to lead project work independently

  • Proven track record of results in team leadership, project management, qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain economic concepts and their implications to non-specialists
