Job Description

WSP is currently looking for a Structural Engineering Intern for our New York, NY Office for the Summer of 2021.

This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a Structural Engineering Degree within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in our Buildings group under direct supervision of the firm's leading engineeringprofessionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist more experienced Engineers in broader Engineering activities

Perform routine Engineering functions

Perform basic calculations

Prepare sketches and drawings using various types of CAD design software

Minimum Qualifications

CURRENTstanding as a Junior or Senior student actively enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering Program

Must be motivated and have a strong desire to learn engineering skills related to structural projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must have completed basic foundational courses including: Intro to Engineering, AutoCAD, Engineering Drafting course, and Mechanics/Statics

The ability to work in the United States upon offer

Experience with, AutoCAD and knowledge of reading drawings
