The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Student Administrative Worker who will report to our Organizational Development Specialists on the People and Organizational Development team. The incumbent will have the opportunity to participate in projects and assist with day-to-day operations in the Transformation team. This includes involvement in a variety of projects, such as, but not limited to: Simple is Better, Workforce Redesign, Care Team of the Future, Multi-Disciplinary Clinic and Clinical Innovation Lab initiatives.

Additionally, the Student Administrative Worker will have the opportunity to shadow and interview clinical and operational staff in relevant operational areas to gain an understanding of patient care delivery. These areas may include, but are not limited to: ambulatory facilities and central operations, quality and patient safety, staffing models and hiring, etc.

The Student Administrative Worker may work on other administrative projects throughout the summer, including data collection and analysis

This position will be hybrid, both in person and remote. The primary location will be CUIMC.

This is a temporary position beginning on July 8th and ending on September 2, 2024. The Student Administrative Worker will be expected to work up to 35 hours a week.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with day-to-day operations of Transformation team
  • Participating shadowing and interviewing of clinical and operational staff
  • Assisting with the communication strategies of practice workflows and staff communication channels
  • Participation in special projects related to ambulatory facilities, quality and patient safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's diploma or equivalency in education training, and experience.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel preferred.
