Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern. In this role, the successful candidate This is an opportunity to work as a student intern for the NIH funded Alzheimers Disease Research Center (ADRC) at NYU Langone Health. The intern will provide assistance for cognitive testing, scoring and data entry, as well as assist with the ADRC Biorepository. The student intern will be formally trained and supervised in the administration of cognitive testing, and will have the opportunity to participate in lab meetings discussing research by others to learn how to critically evaluate published research. Job Responsibilities: Administer and score research cognitive tests Work independently, take initiative, and think critically. Adhere to compliance and departmental policies and procedures including compliance with 100% of HIPAA requirements, required. Reports any discrepancies or inconsistencies in data and/or reports to management timely. Assist with coordination of ADRC participant study visits Assist with NYU ADRC Biorepository Maintenance of subject records and data entry Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma required. The student intern must be a full-time student, or if working in the summer months (Mid-May through Mid-Sept), must be planning to return to full-time status in the fall. Preferred Qualifications: Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiarity with Internet applications. Effective oral, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration. Time management skills and ability to multitask. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
