Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.In this role, the successful candidate The student intern will support communications and marketing efforts for all components of the Center for Cognitive Neurology, including the Alzheimers Disease Center and New York State Center of Excellence on Alzheimers Disease. The position is ten hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the CCN Clinical Research Program Manager, the intern will assist with compiling and organizing materials for quarterly newsletters, brochures and social media outlets

  • Proofread and edit documents to ensure content quality

  • Research photographs from online databases for use in CCN publications

  • Research photographs from online databases for use in CCN publications

  • Transcribe interviews for publications and website

  • Other job related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a full time student, or, if working in the Summer months (i.e. mid May to mid September), must be planning to return to full time status in September. During the summer months, the position may be classified as casual. Functions performed must be NBU (non bargaining unit) work.

Preferred Qualifications:Students pursuing a BA or MA in journalism or communications are preferred. Undergraduate, graduate or field experience in journalism or nonprofit communications preferred. Must have good computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in writing and Internet research. Applicants will be asked to provide writing samples and/or multimedia projects.
