Location: New York Office
Overview: Style Director possessing strong concept and styling skills with an elevated aesthetic.
The candidate will be responsible for monthly concept and styling across editorial, as well as overseeing social and ecommerce styling.
A focus on elevated storytelling for J.Crew Women’s and Crewcuts assuring concept and story-telling is engaging, relevant, thoughtful and inspiring.
The Style Director will be tasked with creating and developing clear and concise styling direction against seasonal ideas. Executing against editorial, marketing and merchandising needs.
Applicants must have a solid understanding of the J.Crew aesthetic, be fast to learn what works for our customer and how to target new audiences.
The Style Director will have sophisticated taste and be abreast of current trends in the photography, editorial and fashion world.
Responsibilities & Skills:
· Collaborate and brainstorm with Art Directors and Design.
· Concept and style seasonal look books.
· On set experience and travel is required.
· Oversee styling team, ecommerce and social styling.
· The candidate will be highly competent at partnering with members of the wider Brand Creative team including Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Copywriters, Art Directors and Production.
