TASK FORCE: Parks, Cultural Infrastructure and Capital Development

UNIT: Cultural and Libraries

JOB TITLE: One (1) Summer Intern

CONTROL CODE: PCICD Intern-25-02

SUMMARY:

The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.

Cultural and Libraries Unit oversees the department of cultural affairs that provides funding to cultural organizations throughout the city as well all the public libraries in the city.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Write CP memos and consolidate the annual financial information of the cultural institutions group (cultural organizations in a public-private partnership with the City).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and excel skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate interns must be currently enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university. Strong analytical, research and communications skills are required. Candidates must have familiarity in MS Word and Excel

To participate in the OMB Summer Internship Program, graduate students must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program and undergraduate students must be enrolled or accepted into a college or university.

Qualifications

As of June of the Program year the prospective interne must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).

NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
