Job Description

TASK FORCE: Community Development Block Grant-Entitlement & Disaster Recovery

UNIT: Compliance and Monitoring

JOB TITLE: One (1) Summer Intern

CONTROL CODE: CD Intern-25-01

SUMMARY:

The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.

The Compliance and Monitoring Unit maintains an understanding of requirements for the Community Development Block Grant. The team monitors, evaluates, and analyzes programs for compliance of the applicable federal regulations. The unit identifies potential areas of risk and works with various City Agencies or Subrecipients to correct or mitigate any concerns.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Research and develop an understanding of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA) and section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Development Act. Assist in the framework development of a Citywide URA policy. Research and develop an understanding regarding the City’s Build it Back Single-Family Project. Assist with data cleanup and file management relating to the program

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two specific skills required are communication and writing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate interns must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program. Candidates should have strong analytical, quantitative, research and communication skills. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in MS Word and Excel

To participate in the OMB Summer Internship Program, graduate students must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program.

Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school.
