SiriusXM + Pandora have joined together to create the world's largest audio entertainment company, and we want you to be a part of it! SiriusXM + Pandora interns don't make coffee. They're on-air, writing code, working on projects, and making valuable contributions to the company. Join our internship program and learn about the world of audio entertainment and get hands-on experience in your field of study.
We are looking for digitally-savvy interns to help create and distribute content for SiriusXM's web, mobile and social media platforms. The ideal candidates' career goals should be in digital media or marketing. They should have strong writing and social media skills, as well as an ability to engage in a range of topics, from music and entertainment to politics and sports. The Digital Content and Social Media teams are incredibly collaborative, proactive and provide a glimpse into all content areas within SiriusXM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with digital content creation including blog posts, videos, and social media graphics.
Transcribe, caption and copy-check videos accurately under tight deadlines.
Write blogs focused on music, talk, entertainment, news, sports, and comedy programming.
Upload YouTube videos and provide backend support including thumbnails, tags, and endscreens.
Assist in writing social copy for all major platforms -- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Maintain and update editorial calendars, evergreen content calendars, and planning documents.
Help create images and graphics for social platforms.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
Requirements and General Skills:
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to develop relationships across various functions and departments and at all levels.
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred: Wordpress, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat), YouTube, Soundcloud, Google Docs.
