Position Summary:
SiriusXM is seeking a driven, and detail-oriented web developer intern to join the Digital Experience Front End Development team. The Front End Development team works closely with both creative and other development teams to combine the design and technical needs to power a website. The intern will be working with a team to write HTML, CSS, and Javascript that powers the user interface used across multiple properties on SiriusXM.com. The intern will learn how large companies create new web products, starting from the initial design phase, be integrally involved in the development phase all the way through to code releases to the live website.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Build website front end with modern technologies that will appear on our live production website.
Analyze requirements for tasks and design solutions.
Write documentation of code and processes.
Participate in code reviews of own work.
Work with teammates across varied disciplines, including tech and design.
Other development and documentation duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Minimum Qualifications:
You must be 18 years of age or older.
Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
Requirements and General Skills:
Understanding of web technologies and how users interact with websites.
Interest in design for the web and user experience, and how visual design and technology interact.
Interest in creating accessible pages for users of all abilities (low-vision users, low-mobility users, etc.).
Motivated to learn new skills, tools and programming techniques.
Attention to detail.
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate knowledge and experience with HTML5
Understanding of the Document Object Model
Be able to create the structure of a webpage with HTML in a meaningful way
Intermediate knowledge and experience with CSS
Understanding of responsive design, the CSS box model, and other CSS basics
Intermediate knowledge and experience with Javascript
Experience with arrays, functions, variables, interacting with the Document Object Model
Experience manipulating pages with Javascript interactions
Familiarity with code editors such as VS Code, Atom, Sublime Text
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
