We are seeking a highly driven and inquisitive individual to participate in a cutting-edge cell biology research program in the Chemical Senses in New York City. The successful candidate will support a project exploring the signal transduction pathway involved in olfaction.

Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Your key responsibilities• Prepare DNA from bacterial cell culture • Perform cell-based experiments in mammalian cell lines• Analyze and interpret experimental data• Participate in lab meetings and discussions to inform future experimental design• Maintain concise and accurate laboratory records • Maintain high safety standards within the lab

You bring• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in related field (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and math) and have completed at least two full years of undergraduate studies or graduate school prior to the start of the internship• Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 3, 2024 - August 23, 2024• Basic molecular and cellular biology skills (sterile tissue culture experience a plus)• Spreadsheet and word processing efficiency• Enthusiastic and intellectually curious individuals• Individuals who are highly organized and team and solution focused
