About this opportunity ....

The Sample Processor Supervisor is responsible for managing 6-8 Sample Processors.

This individual needs to be skilled at communication and developing relationships. Responsible for maintaining high standards, consistency, accuracy and timely work in sample support, and staying proficient in sample tracking database to be an ongoing resource for the Sample team.


Manage Sample Processors

  • Responsible for managing and overseeing the work of 6-8 Sample Processors.
  • Proactively manage associates on a continual basis; set performance standards, hold associates to agreed-upon deadlines and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Work with PTS team to accurately assess individuals against set performance standards; ensure that Sample Processors clearly understand job expectations.
  • Act as a resource for ongoing Sample training and for day-to-day questions from associates and the business.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish strong relationships within Sample Operations, the Mailroom, PTS, and other business partners.

Prioritize Work and Allocate Resources

  • Coordinate with PTS and Merchant counterparts to understand how to prioritize volume of samples in a given day / week, as well as understand when to expect business peaks in sample volume.
  • Responsible for using this information to effectively allocate resources. In addition, must be able to exercise flexibility when unforeseen peaks and valleys in workload occur

Drive Processes and Process Improvements

  • Maintain strong knowledge and proficiency in the sample database and processes.
  • Partner with Technical Services and Sample Processor Manager as needed to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support Manager in synthesizing best practices from the team that can be shared across the organization (up to management, cross-functionally, to LABO). Must understand how to implement streamlined processes

Oversee Sample Processor Performance

  • Strong people management skills - good at motivating a team and keeping Associates operating at peak performance.
  • Assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Who you are ...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5 years of proven work experience as Supervisor or relevant role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability
  • Process oriented; prior experience implementing and maintaining strict process guidelines preferred
  • Strong analytical and good knowledge of MS Office
