Tax Advisor, Business Tax Services (BTA Standard) (Financial Services Office) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.Provide business tax services to help client companies meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance and planning, and tax policy and controversy. Assist financial services clients in developing world class tax functions. Perform a broad array of services, including tax accounting and compliance process improvement, tax sensitization of ERP systems, automation of complex hedge fund allocations, and implementation of new tax processes and/or technology to deal with ongoing legislative and regulatory changes (FATCA, Dodd-Frank). Embed the needs of Tax into Finance and IT systems to increase automation and data quality throughout tax processes. Assess and prioritize tax risks to establish a proper control environment that takes into account the various regulatory regimes applicable to financial services (e.g., SOX 404, Dodd-Frank, Basel III, Model Audit Rule, FINRA SIC).Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years post-bachelor's, progressive experience; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering or a related field, plus 4 years of experience.Requires 3 years of experience in at least ONE of the following tax functional and/or technology areas:- corporate/partnership income tax compliance and accounting;- transfer pricing;- tax information withholding and reporting;- FATCA;- tax cost basis reporting;- sales and use tax;- VAT; OR- property tax.Requires 2 years of experience in at least ONE of the following areas:- tax software development and/or implementation; OR- tax/ finance performance improvement.Requires 2 years of experience in at least ONE of the following specialty areas:- Designing and implementing tax function operating models;- Assessing and improving tax processes and controls;- Implementing tax technology solutions (CorpTax, OneSource Provision/TaxStream, Sabrix, Vertex O-Series, SharePoint Tax Power Platform, Tax Power Apps, PFI, or RPA software);- Embedding tax requirements into financial/business systems and processes (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, PAM, or Investran); or- Developing and implementing custom applications (Visual Studio, VBA/VSTO, SQL Server, or MS PowerBI Suite).Must meet one of the following criteria: CPA, JD, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or Project Management Professional “PMP,” Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, OR sufficient experience and/or coursework to obtain one of these certifications within 1 year from hire.Travel required to meet client needs up to 80%.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training.Please apply on-line at ey.com/en_us/careers and click on "Careers - Job Search”, then “Search Jobs" (Job Number - 1412029).What we offerWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
