Our Financial Services Practice is comprised of a dedicated team of tax professionals strategically positioned across the country. As a Senior in Tax Credit Investment Advisory Services, you’ll assist our clients with a variety of tax credit and incentive-motivated investments and projects involving renewable energy tax credits, low income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits, and opportunity zones. You’ll be part of a team of seasoned professionals engaging with clients to produce strategic outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll likely spend much of your time working with client data, documents, and financial models in order to help our clients optimize their tax strategy and understand the tax, accounting, and compliance implications of their plans for project development or tax equity investment. You’ll assist with key components of multiple tax engagements, including strategy, planning, risk assessment and engagement economics while delivering exceptional client service.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Understanding of credits and incentives tax concepts and enthusiasm to pursue increased knowledge through working on assignments and following tax developments

  • Knowledge of the renewable energy and the real estate industries

  • Knowledge of market studies, operating expenses, development and operating pro forma, benefits schedules, tax opinions, partnership agreements, and financial models

  • Aptitude for writing reports for corporate clients in a clear and professional manner

  • Flexible mindset and readiness to learn new concepts and develop new skills

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree

  • Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional research and writing ability, organizational and multitasking skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • EA, CPA or JD

  • Bachelor’s degree concentration in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field

  • At least 2 years of related work experience

  • Experience with financial modelling, project finance underwriting, analysis of market trends, and partnership agreements
