Gensler Technical Producer - Digital Experience Design in New York, New York

Your Role

As a Technical Producer, you will be working as part of a global, production-focused team, that facilitates the delivery of immersive and connected experiences for the built environment. With a software focus, you help to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds, working with our design teams and production partners to ensure our projects are realized to their fullest potential. You will support the Director, Content & Technology Production Services and the Software Technology Lead, as well as our colleagues across the practice area, in the development, ideation, scoping and production of customized software solutions for our immersive and digital experiences in the built environment.

What You Will Do

Act as a proactive communication nexus between a variety of creative, project management, and technical colleagues

Participate in project scoping and provide information and expertise on resources and time needed for software production execution

Support development of technical production strategy per project

Create and manage software production budgets and timelines per project; be responsible for meeting deliverables benchmarks, staying within budget, and elevating creative product

Lead small software teams through a test-driven software development lifecycle

On a per project basis, manage a Software Production Team, including staff, freelancers, and vendors as applicable

Manage multiple projects concurrently, sometimes in varying phases

Work directly with client IT and ITS teams in support of technical compliance

Source and manage specialty agencies and freelancers to augment internal software teams

Support CTPS Director, SW Technology Lead and colleagues in optimizing utilization of internal resources for production

Oversee production budgets and timelines both internally and from partners

Act as intermediary with Gensler's Client-facing team members as needed

Occasional travel to supervise the integration of projects throughout the U.S., Canada, and abroad (within Covid safety protocols)

Your Qualifications

5+ years oftechnicalproduction or project management experience

Demonstrated ability to coordinate vendors and project team members

Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects on time and on budget

Experience defining and writing technical scopes

Experience with task-tracking and ticketing system

Experiencebuildingproject plansand managing resourcing, schedules and budgets

Experience in supporting the creative design and production process, ideally in the built environment or an area of immersive/experiential/digital that is relevant to our work

Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets

Familiarity with A/V technical systems,computer systems,media, software development, and production processes

Familiarity with known Content Management Systems.

Proficiency in software management tools such as git, github, task boards, and milestone tracking.

Knowledge of the key features, differences in approach, and workflows between various software platforms and tools including Touch Designer,Node,Python, web technologies, openFrameworks.

ComfortableinOSX/Windows/Linuxin both GUI and CLI environments.

You enjoy leading small, specialized, software teams

You are a systems thinker with a critical eye and strong problem-solving skills
